Department Of Darvyaguna organized two days educational tour for the Second year professional Bams students.
Date: 21st and 22nd March 2024
Venue: Tamhini Ghat Botanical Darshan, Deorai, Dapoli Agricultural University, Charak Botanical Garden and Koparkar Nursery
Guided by: Dean Dr. Sampada Sant Ma'am and Head of Dravyaguna Department Dr. Seema Atram Ma'am
Beneficiaries: 73 undergraduate students, 3 post graduate students
Teachers accompanied: Dr. Bipin Dhalpe, Dr. Bhavesh Patil, Dr. Rashmi Patekar, Dr. Santosh Kadam
Flora explored: Meshashrungi, Lodhra, Vikankat, Murva, Rakta Chitrak, Asthisrinkhala, Punnaga, Surpunnag, Tuvaraka, Cardamom, Shendri, Narkaya, Yellow Kanchan, Palash, Patha, Rajpatha, Charoli, Kukkutankhi etc.
The field expert Mr. Bhanudas chavhan showcased the medicinal plants available inside the tamhini ghat, their images were captured to prepare digital herbarium. On 22nd March entire students along with department teachers visited Charak medicinal plants garden inside agricultural College campus. In the afternoon visited Koparkar Nursery located at the Gavhe gaon Dapoli. Here, Mrs. Koparkar demonstrated the variety of medicinal plants in the nursery. The Department of Dravyaguna honestly thanks ma'am for encouraging us to organise these events and provide her kind support throughout the event.
